New President of
AIESEC in Georgia is elected, TBILISI, Georgia
Another
milestone in the history of AIESEC in Georgia has been
accomplished today on July 18, 2010. National Legislative
Meeting authorized Levan Sumbadze to serve as the Member
Committee President of AIESEC in Georgia for the term
2010-2011. Levan joined AIESEC in Georgia as a newbie of the
2007 fall recruitment. Since then Levan has served two full
MC terms and heavily contributed to all major success
stories of the organization. The rise of Levan signifies the
spirit of AIESEC in Georgia which rewards the most committed
AIESECers and gives them the platform to embark on a
life-changing adventure. Levan will be charged to face new
challenges and lead the organization to new heights.
Exchange
Programs Growth* TERM 2009-10
Term 2009-10 has been the
successful one in terms of the Exchange Programs growth that
has been realized with over 17 countries.
Media Conference
2010, TBILISI, Georgia
On
June 20, 2010 international youth organization AIESEC is to
organize a conference at Tbilisi Free University. In the
course of the conference media representatives will conduct
master classes for journalism students. Shorena
Shavrdashvili, Editor, the Liberty magazine will talk about
print media, blogger Dodo Khorkheli about - social media,
Marina Vashakmadze, Head of Radio Liberty Tbilisi bureau
will provide the students with some practical
recommendations, Giorgi Khaburdzania, international projects
manager, Rustavi 2 will give a speech on project management.
The conference will be interactive and the event
participants will be able to pose questions to the speakers.
150 students in total will be selected through the
motivation letters.
National
Leadership Development Seminar 2010, TBILISI, Georgia
NLDS
2010 - National Leadership Development Seminar, is a
national educative project run by the worlds largest student
governed organization AIESEC. The project is a complex of
seminars and practical workshops delivered by experienced
and qualified representatives of AIESEC in Georgia.
NLDS 2010, enables participants to explore their general
knowledge about leadership, about how to find right place in
modern diverse society, how to discover and develop hidden
leadership potential in accordance to world-wide leaders
experience and became young leaders of the future
NLDS 2010 conferences are opportunities for the commitment
of our member states to the power of what we stand for, and
to experience the strength of our network come together to
create an intense learning experience. It aims increasing
the awareness of Socially Responsible Leadership in youth.
It also is focused on providing students with useful
information about career planning so that they have clear
picture how to aim high and achieve more.
International
Congress 2009, KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia
International Congress 2009 was
held in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. 600 leaders from 107
countries were united around the topic of ‘Empowering
Leaders across Cultures’. It is AIESEC’s largest annual
leadership congress. Georgian delegation held fruitful
negotiations ending in partnerships with Belgium, Check
Republic, USA, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Estonia, Poland,
Ukraine and Turkey. Rustavi2 was exclusively representing
Georgian Media. With many other TV companies from across the
world it was covering the biggest and most important event
for the organization globally.
Career
Development Day 2009,
TBILISI, GEORGIA
First
time in history, AIESEC in Tbilisi organizes Career
Development Day 2009 , which gathers entire AIESEC network
of alumni students in Georgia. At this event organizations
in Georgia come to the Job Fair to promote the career
opportunities for young people; such spaces facilitate the
interaction of two segments of the community, the relevant
actors are employers and employees. The conference will be
held on 21st of June, in Free University of Tbilisi.
Career Development Day is focused on gathering different
career opportunities from all across the country, clubbed
and customized, especially for our target audience that
comprises of youth seeking for professional development
opportunities in different spheres of corporate and
institutional arena
